The Mpower Group is excited to announce it’s CEO, Dalip Raheja, will be facilitating at the Launch of Procurement Executives Round Table (PERT) on July 13th at CNA (333 S. Wabash,Chicago, IL).

The Mpower Group is collaborating with ISM-Chicago and Corporate United to launch the Procurement Executives Round Table (PERT). PERT is a peer to peer networking opportunity to connect and collaborate on strategic issues facing procurement executives. Controlled by the members, this is not a sales venue and topics of discussion will be chosen by the members. The goal is to develop a Community of Practice to enable and facilitate development and sharing of Next Practices.

Based on the feedback we have received, we are excited about the first topic: Talent Management.  Below is  an overview of the first topic of the meeting, and a bio for Dalip, the meeting’s facilitator.

This workshop will use the following questions to frame the discussion and determine follow on activities to develop actual solutions:

1 – What roles do Next Practices Procurement organizations play today?

2 – What competencies are required for them to play those role?

3 – What needs to change to allow Procurement to play a more strategic role?

4 – What does an end-to-end talent management look like and what are the benefits associated with such an approach?

5 – How is competency development different from training?

6 – How do you ensure development of new competencies stick?

7 – How can you get started on making your Procurement organization a strategic, viable and actively supported organization?

The group will be facilitated by Dalip Raheja who has been a CPO and built a sourcing organization from scratch that went on to become the benchmark for procurement organizations.  He has served on many advisory boards including the Sourcing Interests Group and the Supply Chain Center at Saint Louis University. Dalip is a recognized thought leader, a frequent contributor to research papers and articles, and a speaker on the topics of Organizational Transformation, Talent Management, Value Creation, Strategic Sourcing, Outsourcing, Offshore Outsourcing, and Change Management. He has been quoted in a wide variety of publications, including USA Today, Bloomberg Businessweek, Purchasing Today, Baseline, and CFO Magazine. He has frequently contributed to the Sourcing Interest Group, IACCM (and many others) research projects and publications. He has also been an active contributor to many ISM chapters and has frequently presented at many ISM events including the national conference.
